Meet Your Host – The Story Behind Lapland Local Experience

Real Lapland, Shared the Local Way.

"I didn't start Lapland Local Experience to run crowded tour buses or staged attractions. I started it because I wanted to offer visitors a genuine slice of quiet Arctic life – the way we locals actually live it."

My name is Pasi, and I’m your local host. Lapland is not just a destination for me; it’s my home. After years of living and moving through these northern forests and waterways, I wanted to create a private space where travelers could experience the authentic wilderness without the rush, noise, or commercial crowds.

Why We Do Things Differently:

  • 100% Private & Unhurried: When you book an experience with us, our secluded 100-hectare estate belongs exclusively to your group for the day. No sharing with strangers, no rigid group schedules, and no rushing.

  • Genuine Local Hospitality: We gather in a traditional warm timber cabin, sit around an open fire, grill sausages, and drink freshly brewed nokipannukahvi (campfire coffee). I'll share real stories about life in the North, local wildlife, and surviving the Arctic winter.

  • Real Wilderness Terrain: Whether we are snowshoeing through untouched powder, checking traditional katiska fish traps on a frozen lake, or riding a sleigh under the Arctic night sky, you are experiencing untouched nature as it truly is.
