Your Evening in the Lapland Wilderness
A Sleigh Ride into the Dark
Your evening begins with a journey into the wilderness.
Wrapped in warm blankets and seated comfortably in a sleigh pulled by a snowmobile, you travel through the quiet winter forest towards our wilderness cabin.
As the city lights disappear behind you, the forest becomes darker and the snow-covered trees take on a different character under the Arctic night sky.
Warmth, Fire and Wilderness Dinner
At the cabin, you can step inside and warm up by the wood-burning stove.
There is no need to spend the entire evening standing outside in freezing temperatures. The cabin provides a warm base where you can relax, enjoy a hearty wilderness dinner and have something warm to drink.
The evening is deliberately unhurried. There is time to sit by the fire, talk, listen to stories and simply enjoy being in the wilderness.
Northern Lights Hunting
When the conditions are right, we head outside to watch the sky.
Your guide follows the Northern Lights forecast and knows the surrounding area, helping to make the most of the evening when the Aurora Borealis becomes active.
If the Northern Lights appear, you will have time to watch them without the crowds and city lights that surround many popular viewing locations.
Your guide can also help with Northern Lights photography, including basic tips for capturing the Aurora with your own camera or phone.
A Private Estate Under the Arctic Sky
The experience takes place on our own 100-hectare private estate in Molkojärvi.
There are no other tourist groups joining you. No busy viewing platforms, no crowds and very little artificial light.
Just your group, your guide, the snowy forest and the Arctic night.
The exact programme can be adapted to the weather, conditions and needs of your group.
Northern Lights Are a Natural Phenomenon
The Aurora Borealis is a natural phenomenon, and no one can guarantee that the Northern Lights will appear on any particular evening.
What we can guarantee is the experience itself: your private sleigh ride, wilderness cabin, fire, dinner and evening in the Lapland wilderness take place regardless of whether the Aurora appears.
That means your evening is never simply a search for something that may or may not happen. You are coming to experience the Arctic night itself — with the Northern Lights as the possibility that makes it even more special.
